One of our favorite family traditions is attending the Tigard Festival of Balloons. Friday is always "Bracelet Day" where you can ride the carnival rides all day long. It was cloudy and a little rainy but we went anyway and had a good time.
It's Balloon Festival time again!

Kate checking to see if she is tall enough to ride. Yep! For sure!
Kate joyfully watching the roller coaster, which she chased round and round.
Jocie riding the swings with Hunter.
Jocie LOVED this game. She kept racing back to play again and again.
Jocie, Hunter, Kate and Kurt on the Bear Affair.
Jocie and I rode on the back of the golf cart up the hill to our car. It was terrifying, but much better than walking!
The days haven't been terribly warm yet, but we have had some sun. We took full advantage of it and went swimming at Grammy's house. The girls found a friend hopping around the hot tub on this particular day.
Yep - cute little froggy!
Kate joyfully watching the frog climb up the green mesh.
After numerous close calls with grabby twin hands, our froggy friend found a safe place to hide.
Templeton Elementary does not do the traditional Kindergarten graduation. Instead, they do the Kindergarten Olympics, which are relay races that involve all of the kids. There was just a sense of fun, not intense competition. While Kate and Jocie are not the world's greatest athletes, I think they delighted in participating with their classmates and it was fun for me to watch them interact with their wonderful aides, Tiffany and Cathy. I love this day because it is a perfect snapshot in time, showing how much they enjoy activities and how much personal growth they have made since they started school. For reference, Kate is wearing pink and Jocie is wearing turquoise. I will apologize in advance for the jerky camera movements. I was using a zoom lens and my every movement is exaggerated. Next time I will bring my tripod!
