We had a family fun day out in the gorge. We drove out Hwy 14, then spent some time in Stevenson and took the Bridge of the Gods home. There was quite a bit of traffic so we got stopped right in the middle of the bridge, which offered us a gorgeous view that we don't often get to enjoy.
Out on the dock in Stevenson.

Our annual trip to Palm Springs was a little different this year. We planned to go during April so we could do Glow in the Park again but found out at the last minute that it wasn't happening. We still managed to have a fantastic vacation anyway.

Happy on the plane.
Our AirBnb was called the "blissful bird of paradise" and this was the wall in the dining room.
Some of the birds were painted beautifully.
Others not quite so impressive.
A lovely day at Matt and Rich's.
Kathryn happily sitting outside.
My first sighting of a road runner.
Joce and Kurt watching the windmills in the wind.
We walked around the Agua Caliente casino and found this Easter photo op.
We used this opportunity to take the girls to the Rainforest Cafe, which has been on our to-do list for a while. We figured they would love all of the animatronics and the thunderstorm and we were right.
Survivor's 50th season airs this spring. As part of the build up to the premiere, each state gets its own Immunity Idol hunt. They released a clue and a date to arrive and if you could figure it out, you were entered into a drawing for tickets to the live finale. The Oregon clue was the Cape Meares Lighthouse in Tillamook so we packed up the family and headed out to the beach. It was unseasonably warm and beautiful on January 31st so it was a great weekend at the beach.

We stopped for dinner at this 50s diner in Tillamook before heading to our AirBnb.

It was a 3 story house that had its own elevator.
Kurt ventured up to the loft play area but he was the only one who wanted to brave the steep ladder.
We bought the Survivor board game to play.
We arrived to the lighthouse hours early to find this long line of cars already there.
