First Haircut

After 3 1/2 years of the slowest hair growth imaginable, it was finally time for the girls' first haircut!  Though it wasn't really necessary, they both needed a little trim to counteract their recent "ragamuffin" look.  Little Clippers specializes in haircuts for kids and they have lots of entertainment to distract even the wiggliest customers.
Jocelyn enjoyed the toys in the waiting room.
She also had no trouble getting comfy in the barbie car and having her hair brushed.
However, she wasn't at all sure about the actual haircut.
She seemed pleased with the initial results.....
....but really liked the finishing touches made by the little clips.
She even let the stylist dry her hair with a diffuser AND spray in some silver sparkles!
Kathryn had an entirely different experience.  She didn't love the cape, but she tolerated it.
She became quite surly as her hair was dampened and brushed.
A little music helped mellow her increasing irritation with the whole process.
OK - let's just get it over with!
After less than 5 minutes, her suffering ended.....
.....and her hair looked lovely!
The stylist let her pick out a pretty clip, but she pulled it out before I could even take a picture.
Alas, even without accessories, she looks great!
Each girl got a little "first haircut" certificate with a lock of their precious baby hair.  All in all, it was a very fun experience and I'm sure we'll go back - hopefully before another 3 years passes!!
