School Days

Back in 2008, the girls were lucky enough to get into the SAIL preschool program through the ESD. Since then, they have been surrounded by the most amazing staff of teachers and assistants. They are thoughtful enough to take lots of pictures of the girls doing various activities throughout the year and these are a few of the highlights of the past week.

One day they made instant pudding and got to paint with it and eat some, too. The girls made a small attempt to work together at first.
Kate really got into the stirring....and eating!
A beautiful, natural smile for the camera, perhaps to highlight the pudding on her nose.
Feeding Teacher Laura some of her yummy treat.
Jocelyn preferred to watch Laura paint the letters she would request.
She was done with the pudding project quickly, but she enjoyed some playtime in the sensory table. I love this picture because it isn't easy to capture Jocie's real smile on camera.
A few days later, they had guitar day. Both girls LOVE all musical instruments so this is always a big thrill.

Kate tries her hand at guitar playing.
Brett giving Jocelyn a hand with a chord.
She's ready to tackle it by herself now.
Today was JELLO day! They made and played with a batch of blackberry jello, which Kate totally enjoyed. Apparently she ate quite a bit during the course of the day. Jocelyn isn't too keen on trying new foods but even she took a bite!

My sweet, innocent Kate, enjoying her new favorite treat. Another beautiful picture....
It warms my heart to see how much my girls love their teachers and assistants. Kate just snuggles right up to Lindsey!
I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to introduce our twins to the world of education. They have provided such a perfect curriculum to work with the girls' strengths and teach them new skills, but to also make learning fun. Thank you, Sunset SAIL staff. You are such a blessing to our family!

I love seeing the brilliant display of emotions on the girls' faces. They are lovely and full of energy...and totally blessed to have the parents they do.

Thanks so much for sharing!

My son, Hayden is attending Sorenson through the Northshore School District in Bothell, I think that it must be similar to the school your girls are going to. I am so thrilled with the school and the caring teachers as well as see the development in my son. Thanks for sharing these pictures, it is so fun to see your cute daughters enjoying themselves at school.
