Winter Break

There were lots of days to fill up after Christmas and before school started up again.  One rainy day we decided to check out Chuck E Cheese.

 Another day we took a trip back up to the zoo, specifically to see the new baby elephant, Lily.  Unfortunately, the line to see her was WAY to long for us so we skipped it and did other zoo activities.

Then we spent a morning at the new Portland Aquarium. Not all of the exhibits were open and it was a little smaller than I had anticipated, but the girls loved getting up close and personal with the fish, jellyfish, eels and sting rays.  After an hour or so, we had to make a hasty retreat.  Jocelyn sprinted into the gift shop, grabbed a pretty rock from a sales rack, sprinted back into the first fish room and chucked it into one of the open tanks.  Oops.  I hope she didn't harm any of the eels!
