Our primary reason for the road trip into Northern Washington was to visit the Outback Kangaroo Farm. Our girls love animals and we thought it would be a very exciting opportunity to get up close with some exotic creatures. We booked a private tour of the facility so the girls could enjoy the animals at their own pace. Little did we know that we would get to feed, pet and even hold the kangaroos. They are sweet and gentle and surprisingly lazy. It was worth every minute of the drive out to Arlington for such an exciting opportunity!
Here is a video of the visit.
Jocelyn meeting her first kangaroo. She could have stayed here all day.
Kathryn petting the tortoise.
Excited girls with Kurt just after we entered the gated farm.
Kurt holding Jackson, the baby joey.
Getting up close with an albino wallaby.
There were many friendly kangaroos who came right up to us.
We got to feed and pet them.
Jocelyn getting right in and befriending the kangaroos.
Kathryn was happy to meet Peanut Butter and Jelly, who are almost always together.
A little bread offering.
Kathryn really liked this little guy.
He was good to both girls.

Feeding the llama.
Jocelyn preferred to have a fence between her and the llama.

I love that the girls (and their parents) had such a great time, as did my grandkids. Thank you so much for sharing your memories! Kathy
