Easter 2013

Easter Sunday was a gorgeous 75 degree day in Portland.  We spent the whole day outside, from the egg hunt in the morning until dinner time.  We couldn't have asked for a nicer day!

Instead of a visit from the Easter Bunny, the vW house was graced with the Easter Duck.  She is still here a week later!

Easter baskets and not-so-hidden Easter eggs.
K&J checking out their Easter haul.
Kate liked her swimming turtle.

Jocie preferred the Handy Manny pez dispenser.
Kate holding her Easter basket for the one second it took to click this picture.

She picked up this egg, ate the candy contents and was done with egg hunting.

This is my favorite picture of the day.  Jocelyn spent the first part of the morning running at top speed around the yard, not caring about the Easter eggs at all.  She even stepped on a few of them and smashed them to smithereens.  She was so happy and full of joy!
Finally she decided to get her basket and gathered a few eggs.
Love this shot of her mid-grab.
Jocie looking surprised to be caught finding an egg.
She took a break to read her new Easter book.

Kate starting in on the Easter grass.  It was EVERYWHERE by the end of the day.

We left the hidden eggs to be discovered throughout the day.  Sure enough, when Kate wanted more treats, she was an egg hunter extraordinaire.
Found another one.

Papa came down for the day to watch the girls enjoy Easter.

And, of course, a little video of the day!
