The Autism Society of Oregon held their 11th annual Walk-A-Thon at Oaks Park this weekend. It was a little chilly out, but not rainy and we had a lovely time. We had to layer the girls clothes to keep them warm so you can't really see their race shirts very well, but they were good sports during the whole event. We did a little bit of fundraising for ASO as well. There is still time to donate to this fantastic organization by using my link: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/lisavonwasmuth/11th-annual-autism-walk-a-thon .
The Star Wars characters are always at this event so we got some fun pictures with the cast.
Both girls loved Chewbacca but weren't entirely sure about the Imperial General.
Our usual pose with the signage.
The walk started right by the pavilion in the background, but there were so many people that we opted to wait in a less crowded area before we walked.
A little homage to Stand By Me.
Walking with Daddy.
Walking with Mommy.
Family photo credit goes to our friend Gina, who always participates in the race with her family, too. Thanks Gina!
At the starting line (after the race was over!)
We were actually on our way down to the river for our favorite past time. Many rocks were sacrificed to the river on Sunday.
The girls had their first ride on the Oaks Park Carousel this year. Usually they prefer to watch it from the sidelines but they enjoyed their ride this year.
